This is the first book I’ve published under my own name. Stepping out from behind the curtain, a big step, I prefer to hang out back stage.
Anyway, this one’s about soccer, coaching youth soccer specifically. It touches on the mental development of kids, what they can comprehend & when (thanks Rick), drills we’ve used to build a better foundation for on field skills and the whys behind them.
It’s short and meant for beginning & intermediate coaches. There’s practice plans from u6-14. There’s even links to a page on this web site where I have most of my old printed materials.
If you are a youth soccer coach, a Coach Dad or Coach Mom who knows little about soccer but volunteered because your kid wants to play this book is specifically designed for you.
If you are an intermediate coach, one who has coached for a few years this can be very helpful. I know over the years I researched for better ways to train, better drills, better ways to understand the mind of the 10 or 12 or 14 year old. If you search for better ways to coach your team this book can be of help.
If you have a kid playing soccer with a coach who needs help or know a beginner soccer coach or one who needs help pass on these links…. thanks.
The Kindle version is just $2.99. The print version is $9.99. The info on this site is free.
If you don’t have a kindle reader you can still download it, there’s free reader aps for phone and pc and a cloud reader.
Please pass this on especially if you have friends who coach.
